The Art Director is in charge of spearheading design projects, developing conceptual ideation and delivering a captivating visual message to the reader, viewer, or user.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Oversees the day-to-day design workflow and output, work prioritisation and work allocation
- Take part in client meetings and lead design projects
- Collaborate with appropriate departments to determine budget required for projects and schedule time frames
- Produce art layouts by developing art concepts and providing work direction for team
- Formulate art concepts by supervising team engaged in executing layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media
- Keep customers informed by reviewing illustrative material for presentation
- Meet art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
- Review project production factors by studying budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques
- Select and secure illustrative material by formulating basic layout design concepts and conducting research
- Obtain client approval by presenting final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations and respond to client commentary and requests
- Produce layouts for printing by mocking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts
- Align team members and skillsets to projects and assign work accordingly
- Curate original ideas that fit the clients’ needs and be able to pitch them in a persuasive manner
- Storyboard ideas to chosen creative team to that the common goal is understood
- Conduct brainstorming / pitch sessions with the creative teams
- Allocate tasks to certain creatives to ensure a smooth design process and easily monitored time frame
- Ensure that projects are completed to meet timelines
- Work with videographers and video editors to create effective video content that aligns with client’s vision
- Ensure that brand’s guidelines are adhered to all stages of the creative process
- Communicate with clients to keep them in the loop regarding the steps the team are on during the design process
- Spearhead various projects from conception to delivery
- Review and approve completed projects before they are presented to the client
- Oversee and manage art preparation, design and copy layout, providing guidance as needed
- Establish and implement a work order process through which design consultation can occur, specifications can be collected, and projects can be assigned and prioritised
- Ensure finished projects align with customer and project requirements before project leaves department for printing, delivery, and/or distribution
- Schedule and leads regular departmental meeting to discuss projects and priorities for team members and to address questions or concerns regarding policies and procedures
- Maintain departmental equipment, supplies and subscriptions
- Maintain portfolio of exemplary work samples
- Consultation meetings for unusual or large-scale projects
- Assist team members with projects as needed
- Provides guidance and leadership on projects
- Create and implement additional training and development as needed
- Mange performance and conduct performance management evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Manage talent and staff resourcing
- Perform other duties as required

- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Adobe creative suite etc
- Excellent sense of design
- Multimedia content development
- Thorough understanding of typography, drawing, and lettering techniques
- Ability to assess costs and quote prices for prospective clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of, or ability to learn, art and print methods that relate to the Agency’s delivery
- Leadership skills
- Must provide strong portfolio

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Background in Keynote, Google Suite, Powerpoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere, and Animate, etc)
- Proven work experience as a creative art director or a similar position in the creative industry.
- A complete portfolio of work
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
