**Reporting to** Head: Academic

The IIE’s **Vega School Johannesburg campus** is seeking a part time Lecturer (Independent Contractor) for the second semester of the 2023 academic year.

**Job Purpose**:
Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:

Ideal:
BA Honours in: Brand Leadership or Strategic Brand Communication

Alternatively:
BCom Honours or above in:

- Brand Strategy and Management Specialising in Marketing Communication
- Strategic Management
- Marketing Management
- Marketing Management Science
- Business Management
- Brand related field to be considered.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:

- Lecturing experience in the disciplines of Brand Strategy; Brand Management; Marketing Management.
- Industry experience in the field of Brand and/or Marketing Communication or related field is essential.

**Key Performance Area**:

- Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
- Supplement content with own expertise.
- Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
- Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.
- Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

**Working Conditions**:

- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor position
- Positions are **part-time**, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00
