Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 30/6/2023- Job PurposeThe Cape Peninsula University of Technology seeks to appoint a qualified, technically competent and experienced individual to serve as the Director and Head of Risk and Protection Services which has 5 divisions comprising of Investigations, Fleet Operations, Campus Protection Services, Safety, Health and Environmental Management. The division is primarily responsible for the safety and security of the entire University community and property across its five campuses. In this regard, the incumbent will be expected to provide an integrated strategic, administrative and operational leadership in regard to risk and protection services. The successful incumbent will be responsible for a staff complement of more than 500, Comprising of HOD’s per department, Cluster Heads, Campus Managers, Shift Supervisors, Team Leaders and Security personnel.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management or equivalent
- Relevant Master’s Degree will be an advantage
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience with three (3) years at the Senior Management level within the safety and security Industry.
- PSIRA grade A valid registration.
- Clear criminal record
