**Responsibilities**:
New Client Proposal Management:Conduct initial "Red Flag" checks on all proposed Clients & Partners.
Manage Client & Partner Application folders and documentation.
Ensure completion of all Credit-related templates by the Business Development Managers (BDMs), including Client Information Template, Management & Business Analysis Template, E&S Checklist, Partner Application Form, and other deal-specific templates.
Ensure receipt of compliant KYC documents and perform necessary searches and verifications.
Keep the Head of Credit informed of any adverse reports or findings.

Timely Documentation and Follow-up:Update the Credit Tracker tool or the equivalent ERP system and follow up on outstanding documents with BDMs to ensure efficient turnaround times.

Financial Analysis and Assessment:Perform annual and management financial statement analysis (spreading).
Interpret key financial ratios to evaluate the financial health and viability of prospective clients.
Conduct visits or video interviews with potential clients to assess potential risks highlighted by financial statement analyses.
Prepare industry risk analyses for all new proposals.

Portfolio Collections & Monitoring:Proactively follow up on overdue accounts in collaboration with the HoC, Collections Officer, Operations Department, and BDMs.
Communicate with defaulting clients to assess the extent of default risk.
Assist the Collections Officer in preparing reports on defaulting clients and mitigation measures.
Provide support to ensure timely management of defaulting accounts.

Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement:Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports for SIC, BPC, Management, and Stakeholders.
Assist in the development of periodic ESG Development Impact Reports.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:Actively participate in team and company meetings.
Enhance and improve existing excel models and templates.
Undertake non-credit related tasks as assigned by the HoC.

Personal Attributes & Experience:

- Professional, confident, and articulate. - Self-motivated and comfortable working independently. - Thrives under pressure and meets deadlines. - Possesses an analytical mindset and excellent writing skills. - Proficient in Excel modeling. - Fluent in English. - At least 5 years of experience as a credit analyst in financial services or a similar environment, preferably with exposure to the SME/Mid-Corporate sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. - Willingness to acquire new, non-credit-related skills. - Able and willing to travel extensively throughout Africa.

Desired Qualification: - Relevant University Degree or Professional Qualification.

**Salary**: R50,000.00 - R60,000.00 per month
