A prestigious wine and hospitality estate situated in the Cape Winelands is searching for an experienced Sales Executive focussing on the MICE markets..
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- ** Develop and Implement Sales Strategies**: Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies to attract local and international MICE and Corporate travelers to the estate. Utilize market research and industry trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
- ** Generate New Business**: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with PCO’s, corporate clients, DMC’s and other relevant stakeholders.
- ** Conduct Site Inspections**: Arrange and conduct bespoke site inspections and familiarization trips for potential clients, showcasing the unique offerings and amenities of the estate. Provide personalized tours and presentations to highlight the value proposition and luxury experience.
- ** Build and Maintain Relationships**: Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to foster loyalty and repeat business. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the estate's presence in the leisure travel market.
- ** Maximize Revenue**: Achieve and exceed sales targets by negotiating favorable contracts and packages with clients. Continuously monitor pricing and occupancy trends to optimize revenue and profitability.
- ** Collaborate with Internal Teams**: Work closely with the marketing, operations, and reservations teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of exceptional guest experiences. Provide feedback and insights to inform marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- ** Stay Updated on Industry Trends**: Stay informed about the latest trends, developments, and innovations in the leisure travel industry. Leverage this knowledge to position the estate as a leading destination for luxury travelers seeking unforgettable experiences.
- ** Reporting**: Keeping the Commercial Director informed of all planned activities and activations as well as key industry trends.
- ** Tradeshows**: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for the purpose of onsite and offsite tradeshow representation.
**Minimum requirements**:
- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry will be advantageous;
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets;
- Strong understanding of the corporate and Mice market, including customer preferences, competitive landscape, and emerging trends;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders;
- Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office suite;
- Background in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred;
- Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation;
- Work co-cooperatively with others in the team; and
- Have a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
