Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Technical National Diploma (E.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) essential
- Certified artisan (welding, fitting, electrical) preferable
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering fabrication experience essential
- Supervisory experience essential
- Chemical/ Petro/Gas Petroleum experience
- In-depth knowledge of piping, flange & valve specifications for purposes of procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of the OHS Act
- Excel, Word and basic AutoCAD
- Own reliable transport
- Infrequent travel to branches or construction sites
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work

Key Result Areas:

- Supervising and coordinating the workshop's activities
- Managing resources and working to a project schedule
- Procurement of materials from engineering drawings and piping ISO's
- Maintenance of machinery: welding machines, hoists, rotating equipment
- Employee management, including recruitment and disciplinary hearings
