Demand Planner

**Main job function**

**Strategy Development**

Develop inventory strategies for the branch through developing plans that will deliver budgeted working capital requirements.

Ensuring that the right stock is on the floor at the right time to maximise sales and to minimize stock - outs and close to expiry stock.

Use insights from the analysis of the past sales and rep forecasts to develop inventory strategy in order to maximise customer satisfaction, profitable sales and no write offs.

**Analysis and Forecasting**

Analyse current demand and adhere to suitable working targets.

Stock Management - Track and maintain the level of stock compared to sales, working to quickly turn around products to minimize overstocking and expired stock.

Back orders

Ensure that back orders are kept to a minimum and negotiate with Planning to expedite.

Stock Take

Be accountable for and manage monthly and perpetual stock takes.

Track and manage ageing stock to ensure there are no stock write offs due to products expiring.

**Administration**

All documentation is to be maintained to company standards.

Qualifications:
**Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or Finance***

Experience in maintaining inventory levels in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of Procurement methods and MRP.
