CapeNature seeks to employ suitably qualified, experienced, and dedicated administrators who would like to contribute meaningfully to conservation operations at a landscape level. The purpose of this position of a Landscape Administrator is to provide landscape administrative, finance, and logistics support to the landscape management teams.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Monitoring and Evaluation**
- Ensure quality control and verification of monthly portfolio of evidence at a landscape level.
- Coordination with all the Landscape Administrative Assistants, conducting weekly/monthly checks to ensure that documentation is valid, accurate and complete.
- Implement the Standard Operating Procedure related to Landscape Reporting on Annual Performance Plan targets.
- Consolidating Annual Performance Plan (APP) landscape-based achievements and reporting monthly in prescribed APP tracker format on behalf of the landscape management team.

**Finance and Administrative Support**
- Coordinate Landscape Administrative Assistants (based on nature reserves) to implement finance and administrative support systems to ensure effective and efficient management of landscape administration.
- Assist in managing the allocation and utilization of landscape budget and resources allocated to Central/South Landscape; in line with landscape strategy, priorities, and work plans as per Annual Plan of Operations.
- Coordinating the e-procurement actions at landscape level, and liaising with Supply Chain Management in support of landscape requirements.
- Providing administrative support (record keeping, minute taking where needed).
- Providing finance support towards the annual budget planning processes, including support to Landscape Management (budget virements, finance queries, supply chain management and procurement).

**Assets and Inventory Control**
- Coordinate asset management activities across thel Landscape, including stock management, asset registers, loss reports and related processes.
- Monitoring acquisitions and issuing of barcodes, thereby ensuring full compliance with Asset Management Policy.
- Receipt and distribution of inventory, including equipment, staff uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Inventory management of equipment and stock (rations), notably related to the Landscape Veldfire Response Plan Addendums.

**Environmental Programmes Administrative Compliance**
- Ensuring that we meet the Environmental Programmes’ requirements, in respect of landscape finance and administrative procedures; specifically for Integrated Catchment Management (ICM), Natural Resource Management (NRM), and the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
- Following tracking procedures in close synergy with Supply Chain Management.
- Assist with project management to ensure efficient completion of NRM, EPWP, and ICM projects and reconciliations.
- Coordinate and support Conservation Managers and Project Officers with site briefing sessions in the landscape.
- Provide client support to both internal (departments, landscape units, nature reserves) and external clients (service providers, agencies).

**Incident Logistics support**
- Coordinating CapeNature incident-related costs (fires, search, and rescues, disaster-related) and logistics and ensuring controls are in place to track and monitor expenses (fire suppression costs especially with regards to aircraft hire, overtime, and deployment of additional resources).
- Providing logístical support and coordination to Landscape Administrative Assistants deployed to Incident Command Posts when established during an incident (fire, search and rescue, oil spills).
- Implement controls to ensure procurement, delivery, and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), rations, and other equipment/materials in support of fire suppression and disasters.
- Processing and confirmation of overtime claims, and fire costs related to fire reports for all incidents.
- Liaison with internal and external clients, where required to do so.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor of Administration Degree or similar NQF 7 tertiary qualification.
- 3 Years’ experience in Administration, Finance, or a similar operating environment.
- Valid EB (Code 8) Driver’s license.
- Thorough working knowledge of MS Office.
- Bilingualism in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, task-based coordination, time management, and client-focused skills required.

**RECOMMENDATIONS**:

- Conservation Operations experience (relevant to nature reserves) will be advantageous.
