Grocery Supervisor

A large retail group is seeking a Grocery Supervisor for their retail supermarket based in Chatsworth

**Purpose**: to effectively supervise the grocery department.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Complete supervision of the department staff; plans and controls the daily activities, conducts meetings and enforces discipline.

Ensure that staff are cleaning and stocking shelves accurately and regularly and that correct PI Labels on shelves

Conduct on-the-job training and coaching to your team by motivating and developing them to achieve objectives & strategies.

Conduct stock checks daily, places orders and checks on goods on delivery, checks on stock rotation and arranges stock in accordance to expiry dates

Ensures that systems are adhered to with regards to swell allowance and damages.

Ensure that all reequipment used is well maintained

Monitors that personal health and hygiene standards are maintained.

Grocery area housekeeping is maintained daily - clean products and shelves

General admin; no overstock, no stock shortages, processing of orders too Distribution Centre.

Customer service; provide exceptional customer service at all times and assist customers with queries and provide advice on products

**Requirements**:
Grade 12 (Matric)

1-2 years’ experience as a grocery supervisor.

Proficient in MS Office Applications.

**Competencies**:
Exceptional communications skills

Can work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatsworth, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
