Process Leader

**Job Advert Summary**:
Rainbow Chickens is recruiting for a Process Leader to join the Rendering Plant based in Worcester, Western Cape. This position will be reporting into the Processing Manager. The purpose of this role is to supervise the performance of a processing line in a specific area of the plant (including staff / process workers, machinery and material on that line) to achieve daily targets to required product specifications, while meeting safety, health and quality standards.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12 is required
- 2 years relevant experience preferably in a unionised food processing plant
- Knowledge of ISO and health, safety and environment legislation
- Take accountability for results and people
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance plant with regards to man load versus product MIX

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Obtain the daily production plan from Processing Manager/Operation Manager
- Communicate the objectives of the plan to the team on shift to ensure understanding
- Ensure man load is at full capacity according to production plan
- Conduct the required checks on start-up, during and sign off, and ensure the relevant data is recorded correctly
- Monitor the usage of materials and the line to ensure work is executed consistently according to standard
- operating procedures to minimize waste and reduce consumption where possible
- Work consistently according to standard operating procedures and ensure compliance
- Monitor hygiene on the line, SHEQ compliance and ensure quality standards are implemented correctly
- Capture processing data accurately, completely and timeously into the information system on a daily basis
- Supervise people performance
