Toolroom Manager

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Functional**:

- Work closely with the Research and Development department
- Provide support on the mechanical design of test instruments Injection Moulds, Tooling and Jigs
- Prototype injection moulds design and manufacture
- Production support to the Production assembly departments repairing and manufacturing of tooling, jigs and instrumentation
- Day-to-day running of the Toolroom
- Work as part of a team
- Ensuring compliance with OHS GMR requirements
- Maintain material and spares stock levels

**Administrative**:

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experienced at multi-tasking several projects simultaneously
- Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained

**Skills and Qualifications**
- N5 minimum for GMR 2(1), preferably N6
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling design
- CNC
- Qualified Tool, Jig & Die Maker
- 10+ years’ experience in injection moulding, tooling and jig design, CNC machine operation, CNC machine maintenance
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate knowledge and experience to colleagues
- Hands-on approach
