**Minimum requirements**:

- Possession of a doctoral degree in Criminology
- 5 years teaching experience in a higher education environment, OR, 5 years postdoctoral experience in a higher education environment including undergraduate teaching
- A proven track record of scholarly publications
- Evidence of a postgraduate supervision record

- Evidence of appropriate community engagements
- A qualification in higher education, teaching and learning or progress towards such a qualification

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Teach in almost all areas of specialization in Criminology
- Ability to conduct online teaching and assessments.
- Refine curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
- Produce academic publications, especially accredited ones
- Mentor and coach junior members of staff and post-graduate students
- Participate in collaborative research projects locally and internationally
- Participate in community engagement initiatives in line with University policies
- Academic administration and citizenship
