**Key Roles and Responsibilities include**:
To install equipment according to sound engineering practices and equipment specifications duties such as:

- Installing, maintaining and repairing of heavy mining equipment with a high wear frequency, to ensure that all equipment is safe and secure on pipes, structures, conveyers, chutes, screens, feeders, tanks, bins etc. within the boilermaker field of expertise.
- Install equipment when needed to ensure adherence and compliance to Health and Safety Act.
- To read and interpret drawings.
- High level of multitasking.
- Work overtime and do standby and be available for call outs should the need arise.
- To work with others and display a willingness to communicate openly with co-workers.
- Should also respect safety regulations and promote professionalism. Must demonstrate initiative and be motivated to succeed.
- Conduct fabrication, cutting and grinding
- Must be able to read drawings
- Prepared to travel from site to site.
- Perform equipment maintenance and make sure it is secured as per policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of draglines
- Fabrication of structures
- Fabrication of string pipes and chutes
- Fabrication of buckets, sticks, links H Frames and maintenance.
- Take remedial action when necessary in terms of equipment and work area.
- Report problematic issues to management in Support team as well as the site.
- Inspect final product against original drawing
- Maintaining current structures and conveyers
- Maintain housekeeping of equipment, forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Excellent Welding, grinding, cutting and fabrication skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety.
- Assist to service, replace, manufacture, construct, assemble and fit components for machinery, installations and other apparatus or articles.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Matric / Grade 12
- Computer literate
- Trade certificate in Boilermaker
- +3 Years Relevant experience
- 3 Years' experience on related earth-moving equipment
- Exposure to mine underground machinery
- Knowledge of welding principles
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of plant equipment and processes
- Knowledge pertaining to lock out and isolation procedures
- Good communication skills
- Practical, problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be medically fit
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel for onsite work
- Experience with Mine machinery
