Inbound Planner

Boxer Superstores presents a vacancy for an Inbound Planner to join our Gauteng Distribution Center. As the Inbound Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating supplier delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals. Your duties will include creating and managing booking schedules, collaborating with stakeholders, and enhancing efficiency in the inbound supply chain process.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related logistics or supply chain role.
- Proficiency in Bomm system operations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Prepare and Maintain Inbound Booking Schedules**:

- Update daily schedules by meticulously comparing data from the Bomm System to the existing schedule.
- Monitor orders placed on the Bomm System to track deliveries and identify any gaps (NO GRV).
- Analyze receiving invoices and promptly detect instances where no invoice exists, indicating undelivered stock.
- Collaborate with the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to escalate issues and, if necessary, involve the Buyer.
- Initiate follow-ups with suppliers, ensuring accurate stock deliveries.
- If needed, rebook stock deliveries to ensure seamless supply.
- **Coordinate Supplier Deliveries for Operational Efficiency**:

- Strategically plan deliveries considering promotional demands, store and RDC stock levels.
- Collaborate with the Demand Planning team for scheduling discussions and alignment.
- Validate product details such as quantity, size, packaging, and palletisation.
- Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and share precise delivery times.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding delivery schedule changes.
- When required, reschedule deliveries to accommodate evolving needs.
- **Manage Returns and Communication**:

- Receive information from the Outbound Manager about supplier returns.
- Ensure clear communication with the supplier or third-party Transport Company about returns.
- Effectively coordinate returns, especially when suppliers deliver additional orders to the DC.
- **Inform Suppliers of DC Rules and Regulations**:

- Effectively communicate DC Rules & Regulations to suppliers.
- Provide guidance on driver and crew attire.
- Specify the type and size of palettes required at the DC.
- Clarify delivery time frames and requirements, including staff and palletisation.
