Jnr Estimator

Excellent Company is looking for someone with the Technical background in Engineering (Mechanical) who is keen on moving to Estimation or someone who is Junior in the Estimator position with EPCM background.

Qualifications and requirements:

- Grade 12
- Minimum 3 years qualification i.e. Engineering (Mechanical), Construction or Quantity Surveying
- PMI, AACEI certification

Requited Skills/Knowledge:

- Cost estimation: Understanding cost of design and ability to estimate cost related to a project or specific activity
- Estimating methods: Good understanding of conceptual, capacity factored, mechanical factored and definitive methods.
- Risk analysis: Ability to identify project and activates risks from any point of view
- Estimating control document: Development of estimating spreadsheet that can cope with the complexity of the project and any movement in factors, rates, foreign exchange, commodity prices etc.
- Cost control: Knowledge of cost engineering principles: total cost management and total quality management etc.
- Change management: Ability to effectively and efficiently manage changes during the course of the project
- Commercial Principles: Understanding of contract types and of their main features
- Legislation & Standards: Knowledge of sector specific law e.g. Engineering, safety etc. and standard specifications e.g. Plant layout requirements etc.
- Project Management: Knowledge of basic project management methods and all project lifecycle phases
