Capability Development Specialist

As our Site Capabilities Lead, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating annual training plans for the site;-
- Design, implement and execute the Capability Development ONE Plan for Isipingo Site as per the local market requirements, working with the Supply HRBP, HR Talent team and aligned to Diageo Global- Ensure capability development processes and tools are implemented (i.e., job profiles, development plans, learning portfolios), induction plans, and job specific recruiting guidelines;- Recommend and coordinate specific learning solutions e.g., courses, seminars, workshops, bootcamps, self-study, certification programs;- Work with all managers/team leaders to effectively execute the succession planning processes for all critical positions and coordinate process development and execution for succession planning;- Design and implement the Workplace Skills plan as per the SA Govt BEE requirement- Implement and maintain a Learnership program as per the SA Govt BEE requirement- Implement and maintain the Apprenticeship program as per the SA Govt BEE requirement- Manage the Early Career development program in SA Supply- Implement and manage the CAP system (Competency Acquisition Process) across the ESA Hub, including ongoing development and coordination of internal trainers and assessors in support of CAP- Support the roll out of the Front Line Manager (FLM) program- Co-ordinate and manage the Development Centres as need arises- Support the roll out of Breakthrough Performance Coaching and Diageo Leadership Performance Program across Supply in partnership with HR- Support the growth of the SA Supply Talent pipeline in conjunction with the HR business partners

Minimum Requirements- University degree qualification or equivalent is required, with at least 7 years’ experience working in a unionised environment- A sound knowledge of the requirements of the SA Labour Act, SA Skills Development- Act and Black Economic Empowerment is essential- Some experience with Learning or Talent development is an added advantage- Key functional capabilities required for this role are excellent relationship building and influencing skills, highly organised with ability to multi task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly important for managing expectations with stakeholders and external suppliers.- Demonstrated experience in a capability support or similar role, ideally in FMCG or similar fast-moving industry (advantageous);- Experience within HR/P&C role or within supply chain will be highly regarded;- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement;- Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills in previous roles;- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills;- Strong analytical skills;- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team/cross-functionally; and- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
