This is a junior to mid-weight role for an all-rounder to be an integral part of the agency, contributing to the success of their clients and the growth of the business. The Account Manager reports directly to the Owner.

The agency’s main focus is Corporate PR, managing the reputation of a company as a whole. Through regular media pitching and strategic communication, the agency builds thought leadership, solid brand awareness and fosters positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Note: This role is initially fully on site and then moves into a hybrid set-up.

**Responsibilities**:
Strategic Work
- Give input into annual and campaign account PR strategies
- Plan and implement PR campaigns to achieve desired results
- Compile strategically sound media lists and pitches
- Foster connections with media professionals for optimal coverage
- Assist in preparing and delivering strategic proposals to clients
- Identify additional opportunities to strengthen campaigns
- Manage and coordinate event logistics
- Evaluate PR campaign results and provide insights.

Tactical Work
- Manage all account administration tasks
- Coordinate media outreach activities and materials
- Conduct media follow-up calls and meetings
- Provide media monitoring and clipping analysis to clients
- Update media lists and manage the agency’s supplier network
- Handle financial administration per account
- Manage and update internal and client account records
- Assist with training and management of interns (where relevant).

General
- Achieve client objectives and deliverables: You will offer excellent account administrative support and implement PR campaigns to meet client goals
- First-class customer service: You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional PR services to our clients, resulting in client retention and referrals
- Media relations and coverage: You will develop relationships with journalists, securing media coverage for our clients and proactively attracting media attention through established connections.

**Requirements**:

- 3 Year Diploma in PR or Public Relations and Communication degree or related qualification
- A minimum of 3-4 years of PR experience in an agency environment
- Proven PR account executive and management and media relations experience
- Media relations experience
- Exposure to strategic planning of client campaigns
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for confident interaction with clients, team members, and media professionals
- Relationship Building: Build rapport, maintain collaborative relationships, and network with clients, media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders
- Project Management: Strong project management skills are crucial for handling multiple client accounts, planning tasks, managing deadlines, and executing PR campaigns smoothly
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse PR campaign results, monitor media coverage, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Being adaptable to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and adjusting strategies based on evolving circumstances is essential
- Digital Media and Social Media Savviness: Proficiency in utilising digital media platforms and social media channels for effective PR
- Computer skills: Proficiency in reporting using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented: You pay attention to details, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
- Proactive: You anticipate problems, take immediate action to address potential issues, and take initiative in identifying relevant PR opportunities for clients
- Organised: You can manage multiple tasks and priorities, meeting deadlines effectively
- Problem-solving: You use initiative to overcome setbacks and obstacles in day-to-day challenges
