Develop and maintain systems to ensure company compliance with relevant Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.

Undertake risk assessments.

Compile safety files for major clients and ensure compliance with the signed S37(2) agreements.

Conclude S37(2) agreements with service providers.

Facilitate training requirements including toolbox talks.

Maintain up to date training matrix.

Ensure adequate policies, procedures and work instructions are available and updated.

Manage the EHS committee.

Promote EHS awareness.

Perform internal audits and job observations.

Ensure incidents and accidents are investigated. Enforce timely closure of corrective action and ensure preventative measures

Deal with workman’s compensation claims.

Communicate with senior management on EHS issues.

Draft monthly report of EHS matters.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Degree or Diploma related to environment and / or safety preferably both.

SAMTRAC, NEBOSH or equivalent.

**SHORT COURSES**

ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018

Internal auditing

Risk assessment

Legal requirements - Health, Safety, Environment

**EXPERIENCE**:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in monitoring, implementing and auditing SHE, experience with the transport and waste environment will be advantageous.
