**Quantitative and Performance Analyst Graduate**

Purpose of the Role

This role supports the Operations and Distribution teams by supplying quantitative data related information to solve queries as well as the coming up with innovative ways to automate internal and external performance and general portfolio reporting so that stakeholders receive value added information. The focus of the role is on research and analyses of complex data and portfolio performance requests often within specific deadlines. You would also need to troubleshoot any internal systems issues to make sure that data from various sources is integrated accurately.

Job Duties
- Investigate and attend to investment performance and portfolio data related queries from Operations and Distribution teams.
- Perform complex contribution to return and attribution calculations - by security, asset class and geography.
- Generate bespoke reports for clients, while ensuring the integrity of the data provided.
- Work on various projects to automate and improve efficiency of client reporting and portfolio operations.
- Introduce innovative ways to improve the quality of data solutions that are provided to stakeholders.
- Maintain and update the internal systems to ensure data integration and protect data integrity.
- Support the Operations teams during and after hours with queries related to orders to buy and sell shares.

**Qualifications**
- Honours degree in Computational & Applied Maths, Maths and Stats, with programming modules included

**Experience and Skills**
- 1-2 years portfolio performance and quantitative analysis experience within a similar environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Coding skills with VBA, Python, R.
- Good knowledge of Power BI advantageous
- Highly numerate
- A strong interest in investments and the financial markets

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Learnership, Internship, Graduate
Contract length: 12 months
