**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**: but not limited to
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to determine project requirements.
- Perform layout, cutting, and shaping of metal components using hand and power tools, including shears, saws, and cutting torches.
- Weld and assemble metal parts and structures using various welding techniques, such as arc welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding.
- Inspect and test completed work to ensure conformance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of existing boilers, pressure vessels, and related equipment.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
- Always follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing boiler and pressure vessel construction and repair.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Matric
- Completed Trade / Red Seal

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques.
- Familiarity with various types of metals and alloys.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good physical condition and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.

**REMUNERATION / BENEFITS**

**SALARY**:R 15 000 - R 25 000 per month (Depending on Experience)
