Their mission is to provide their clients with sustainable environmental solutions using cutting-edge scientific research.

**Job Purpose**:
**Job Duties**:

- Project management, including financial, health & safety and project team
management
- Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you.
- Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks.
- Embracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Prepare for and undertake fieldwork, inclusive of dust fallout, meteorological and particulate monitoring, passive sampling, active sampling, and any other project as required by the Company.
- Management and planning of fieldwork, including the completion of all health & safety requirements, both with regards to our client and their client's requirements.
- Overseeing and conducting site visits independently and with other personnel:

- Collection and delivery of passive and dust monitoring samples.
- Assist instrumentation technicians with analyser installations.
- Plan and conduct AQMS maintenance.
- Conduct source monitoring campaigns.
- Process and format ambient monitoring data, inclusive of meteorological, dust fallout and particulate matter.
- Analysis and reporting on monitoring data.
- GIS analysis of spatial dataset.
- Emission inventory compilations and dispersion modelling (AERMOD, CALPUFF) is an added benefit.
- Compilation of Atmospheric Impact Reports, Air Quality Impact Assessments, and Air Quality Management Plans, and Climate Change Strategies
- Fulfil the duties of a GESI SANAS Laboratory Analyst (Quality management), with
the potential to become a technical signatory for the Dust laboratory (and/or future calibration laboratory).
- Writing proposals, tenders, and quotes (provide technical expertise for client-centric proposals).
- Tender sourcing, coping, compilation, and submission. Manage tender deliverables/project.
- Project and company administration:

- Financial and other company administration.
- Marketing for the company.
- Any other reasonable task set by the company management.
- Business development

**Minimum requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of environmental consulting experience, with at least 3 years as an Air Quality scientist/consultant
- Minimum BSc Honours in relevant filed (BSc Hons Geography, Meteorology, GIS, Env Science)
- Spatial and data analysis capabilities using GIS software
- Experience in ambient, source (stack) and dust fallout monitoring and sample processing.
- Technical skills to manage, verify and analyse monitoring data.
- Knowledge of the South African environmental/air quality legislation.
- Ability to follow instructions and brief to completion.
- Has previous quoting and proposal writing experience. Can assist with spec scoping for the sales team
- Computer literate, inclusive of a strong understanding of the Microsoft software suite (will have to pass a basic computer skills test).
- Driver’s license (code B).
- Strong driving abilities -especially off-road (unchartered roads often used)
- Strong project management skills to ensure projects are managed efficiently
- Verbal and written communication skills are critical for this position.
