About Us Tsebo Facilities Solution is currently looking for a Senior Technician to provide technical support with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements. To assist the Technical Manager on site with specialised management functions and ensure Data Center and It Node (Critical Engineering) infrastructure services are maintained and operational to service standards specifications. Services include Electrical (MV and LV), HVAC, Fire detection, Fire protection, UPS, Standby power generation, refrigeration and all issues pertaining to compliance, governance and the statutory acts legislated from the client and Government.

Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks

Undertake Re-active maintenance tasks and

Undertake tasks related to general Electrical and air conditioning repairs

Be able to work under pressure

Must be computer literate

Must be able to work with personnel on senior, junior and equal level

Site Specific Objectives

Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks.

Undertake Re-active Maintenance Tasks and Repairs.

Ensure that best Operating Practice is applied when undertaking Maintenance Tasks / Repairs.

Provide a list of required materials to Technical Manager to enable successful execution of Maintenance Tasks.

Complete and issue Check Sheets to Technical Manager on a weekly basis.

Assist with HIRA, Rams and PTW issue and completion

Assist with Master -F list quotes and execution

Stand in for Technical Manager when not available

Standby duties in co-ordination with Technical manager.

Quality insurance on all completed works.

Communication with client on all technical issue as and when requested.

ISO 9001; 14001 & 18001 - Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Stand ards

Adhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position.

Ad Hoc

Any reasonable action requested by management.

Skills and Competencies

Legal liability knowledge with regards to Data center environments

Roles and responsibilities with regards to LV and MV switching and maintenance

Co-ordinating of maintenance items and re active works

Knowledge and understanding of the criticality inside the data center environment

Pro active problem identification and resolving of failures

Ability to plan, organise and control work effort and key deliverables

Conflict Handling skills

**Qualifications**:
Grade 12+N3

**Courses completed**: Legal Liability Training/CDCP/LV/MV switching/HIRA course completed

Qualified Electrician

Min 3 years’ experience inside a Data Center

Must have previous experience & knowledge of Medium Voltage systems & understand the risk associated with them

Must have knowledge of UPS and Generator systems
