We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our Cape Town team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with our standard operating procedures and policies across all properties. The Internal Auditor will evaluate and improve internal controls, conduct reviews and audits, and provide valuable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard assets.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Internal Control Reviews & Audits**:

- Plan and execute internal control reviews based on individual hotel risk profiles.
- Maintain and update internal control documentation to align with business standards.
- Conduct audits at hotels, regional offices, and head office, covering areas such as cash management, debt management, procurement, payroll, and other accounting procedures.
- Perform remote audits, including expense claims, petty cash, and Premier Rewards Program.
- ** Audit Findings & Recommendations**:

- Present audit findings to management and recommend corrective actions.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions based on hotel self-assessment reviews.
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet reconciliation reviews and report any discrepancies.
- ** Policy & Risk Management**:

- Collaborate with various business disciplines to assess and enhance policies to mitigate risks and safeguard assets.
- Train hotel and above-property staff on finance procedures and policies to strengthen the control environment.
- ** Project Participation**:

- Participate in various projects and investigations, providing support to other business disciplines as needed.

**Managing Work & Goals**
- Generate and submit timely reports, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Accurately document project and regular work progress.
- Analyze information, evaluate results, and suggest solutions to address problems.
- Provide input and assistance to other business disciplines on projects.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospitality finance at an Assistant Financial Manager level or in hotel audit.
- Strong knowledge of job-relevant topics, systems, and processes.
- Technical expertise in finance, with the ability to support staff across various disciplines.
- Proficient in using computer systems to process data, analyze information, and create reports.
- Excellent analytical skills, communication abilities (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across different business disciplines and with various stakeholders.
