**SPECIFICATION**

The Data Scientist will primarily be responsible for the collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting of data to meet the company's business interests as well as that of our sales force members. This role focuses on adding business value by providing meaningful insights that will assist the business in a variety of ways. In this role, you will also assist in the development of diverse software solutions to meet stakeholder needs and improve business processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Extract, transform, and load data originating from different sources so as to develop reports and tools that require clean, consolidated datasets.
- Build insightful data visualisations and reports that enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Recognize and capitalize on opportunities for process optimization or automation, devising relevant software solutions as needed.
- Respond to diverse ad-hoc requests requiring complex manipulation and visualisation of data.
- Identify and act upon new opportunities to leverage data science and analytics for business growth.
- Participate in continuous efforts to increase available data quality and the speed of data delivery.
- Communicate and collaborate extensively with teammates and other stakeholders to achieve business goals.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Honour’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in SQL for effective database querying.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python, with a particular emphasis on utilizing Pandas for data manipulation.
- Strong capabilities in Excel, including the ability to create sophisticated tools that perform complex functions and support strategic planning.
- Fundamental skills in data visualisation, able to create clear and concise visual representations of data.
