Panel Beater

The panel beater will be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles, estimating the cost of repairs, and repairing vehicles to their original condition as required by Afrirent/RMI/SAIA/Manufacture. Duties include but not limited to:
**Inspection and Repairs**
- Assessing accident vehicles and providing quotes
- Body filler work and preparation
- Straightening damaged panels and creating new onces
- Chassis/undercarriage straightening and alignment.
- Grinding, plasma-arc metal cutting & welding/braising.
- Criming plates & riveting components
- Repairing scratches, and spray-painting panels.
- Dismantling and assembling various vehicle parts and components
- Always implements safety standard operating procedures to minimise the risk of further incidents / accidents.
- Adhering to the safety guidelines and health protocols at all time
- Keeping the work area clean and safe
**Qualifications and competencies**:
- Qualified automotive repairer/panel beater with Trade test
- 5 years experience as a qualified panel beater
- Assessing vehicles for damage
- Body filler work
- Grinding
- Welding and brazing
- Valid drivers license C1
**Salary**: From R14 000,00 per month
