You will be working as Buyer and will be the part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to LBU Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible to purchase materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms and ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team, qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with quality and engineering specialists, negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing pricelists, terms and conditions and driving SLAs
- Ensuring SAP Ariba global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in SAP ariba procedure and suppliers are analyzed and data updated in accordance to local business needs
- Initiating RFQs, price negotiation, PO in the system, confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs, recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval, analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value in purchasing process
- Tracking open POs to ensure delivery and GRV occurs in a timely manner and supplier invoices are paid on time, driving cost savings on each job as agreed with line manager and ensuring Just-In-Time purchasing is implemented to assist with cash flow
- Overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues, measuring and analyzing supplier performance and providing feedback to suppliers on areas of improvement
- Aligning supplier orders with customer and production requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a supply chain role, focusing on procurement (buying experience 1 to 2 years SAP experience, 0 to 2 years SAP Ariba
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- You should understand commercial terms and conditions along with being an analytical thinker, with communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively at all level Fluency in English language is mandatory
