Cellar Controller

Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in **Wadeville Secondary Production.** This person will report to the **Unit Manager**.

**Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to**:

- Receive, store, blend and issue bulk spirits to the packaging lines on time and in full.
- Manage bulk stock effectively and minimise losses and write-offs to within budgeted allowance.
- Manage consumables utilised in the blending of bulk i.e. filter material; chemicals etc
- Perform all administration functions on a daily base i.e. transfers, blending slips etc.
- Supervise and see to the discipline within spirit cellar of all staff (subordinates).
- Supervise autonomous maintenance checks on all equipment in the Cellar.
- Ensure that works requisitions are issued for maintenance or repairs to be done.
- Maintain ISO requirements in the Cellars department.
- Maintain financial governance controls (ICC) in the Cellars department
- Maintain effective housekeeping and safety practices.
- Matric plus relevant qualifications in Cellar Technology
- Must have a knowledge of spirits and wines
- Frontline managerial experience (1 - 2 years’ experience in managing a team)
- Experience in world class manufacturing practices in a processing environment (1 - 2 years)
- Experience in SAP (1 - 2 years’ experience)
- Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Excel
- Sound leadership and conflict handling experience
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
- Be willing to work shifts and overtime.
- Ability to work at heights.
