**KITCHEN, TASTING & SALES ASSISTANT**

**Purpose**:The incumbent is responsible for housekeeping and to ensure that all areas are neat and tidy. He/she need to ensure that stock & glasses are set up for tastings according to requirements and specifications in order to ensure a professional experience to the customers.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Basic wine & spirit knowledge course will be advantageous
- Previous tasting room support experience, setting up tastings & serving wine will be an advantage
- Experience in general cleaning & housekeeping
- Experience in a customer service environment

**Job Summary**:

- Daily cleaning of bathroom faciliteis and to ensure that it is neat and tidy througout the day.
- Ensure that the main entrance and reception area is clean and according to standards.
- Ensure the shop area is cleaned and the tables and serving area is neat and tidy.
- Clean glass on front doors.
- Ensure there is enough clean glasses at the tasting counter throughout the day.
- Ensure outside area is neat and tidy at all times.
- Obtain all the tour requirements and activities for the day.
- Ensure the set up is done for all tours and tastings. This will include the Cathedral Cellar, Mentors room and Auditorium.
- Engage with the relavent tour guides to ensure the set up is accoring to specifications.
- Order and manage kitchen stock (eg. cleaning products, coffee, tea, etc.)
- Control the tasting stock sheet as well as item borrowed sheet.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment are in working condition. Report issues to Maintenance department.
