Converting Broke

We are looking for a CONVERTING BROKE & CORE ADMINISTRATOR in the East Rand to manage converting

Broke & other recyclable material waste streams end to end, ie from collection on the line to

despatch to the storage yard

THE POSITION

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure that Wet Strength, non Wet Strength, tinted (Virgin Fibre) and Recycled Fibre broke

are baled separately
- Ensure bale integrity and packaging of bales are done according to specification, ie minimise

loose papers & disintegrating bales
- Ensure housekeeping in the yard at the Converting plant and manage the transport to Rigger

rd, or any other movement between the Converting and storage facility at the time
- To manage the Wadding Core recycle function end to end, ie ensure the full adminstration

and recycle function
- To manage and assist the stacking of empty wadding cores from CONVERTING assets after use

into steel core stands neatly '
- To manage and assist the handling of all empty cores in as far as safety and FIFO (first in first

out) are concerned, including quality checks
- To ensure steel stands with empty cores are kept indoor, in good condition (report damages)

and that it is collected daily
- To always keep standby steel stands to replace full ones collected
- To record and process the number of cycles that each empty wadding core is used as per

markings provided by the Mill on a control sheet and related transactions.
- To record and process manual delivery notes for all empty wadding cores transfers back to

the Mill and follow authorisation procedures for signing off documentation
- To inspect cores from suppliers (internal and external) and report damages in detail. The

relevant NCR needs to be processed
- To manage and assist in packing all received empty cores from external suppliers to their

identified storage areas appropriately to eliminate waste
- To ensure that machine operational staff record recycled flow of empty wadding cores during

late shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays
- To manage and record usage of secondhand cores bought in from external suppliers in the

same manner as new cores
- Managing of Converting Machine cores (bought in) at the Converting facility as well as any off
- site storage facility (currently Rigger rd.) units.
- Assist with daily and monthly stock counts of cores and assist the Raw Materials Stores team

with stock counts
- All relevant, tasks and jobs related to the primary function as required from time to time.

YOUR BACKGROUND:
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

Matric, or equivalent

Computer literacy on Microsoft office, SPECIFICALLY Outlook and Excel

WORK EXPERIENCE
- Preferably 3 years working experience in a manufacturing and materials management

environment
- Self-confident, initiative, pro active nature
- Good administration skills
- Computer literacy on Microsoft office
- ERP system knowledge, preferably Syspro, but not a requirement
- Ability to adhere to procedures and controls and to set controls for area under control
- Self-confident, problem solving and trouble shooting ability
- Safe work procedures
- ERP system & procedures (knowledge of what an ERP system does)
