**Job Advert Summary**:
The role of the Recruitment of a Senior Specialist - Offshore Fund Accounting will be expected to assist the UK Fund Accounting (SA) team responsible for all UK priced funds, which includes Unit Trusts (Open Ended Investment Companies) and Investment Trusts (Closed Ended Investment Companies) daily NAV preparation/validation processes. The individual will be required to assist with issues coming out of operations, review of processes and improvement thereof to service our UK clients needs. This individual will also be required to be responsible for projects aimed at improving and standarising processes within UK Fund Accounting (SA) to drive efficiences in this teams processes.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- An accounting qualification (minimum B.Com or equivalent) together with either 3 years Fund Accounting experience or 5 years plus Fund Accounting experience in asset management portfolio administration and pricing;
- In addition, the individual should have experience with the various fund types either locally or internationally.
- managing a team; knowledge;
- basic investment product knowledge;
- Good understanding of Financial Markets, instruments and systems.
- Advanced level experience in using Excel, InvestOne and other related systems;
- Proven competence and an aptitude for working with systems.
- Experience with Xceptor will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in performing fund take-ons and migrations from other fund administration platforms.
- Previous experience in supervising a team and conducting colleague reviews;
- Previous experience in dealing with clients;
- Previous experience in mentoring of junior and new staff;
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Improve UK Fund Accounting (SA) daily and monthly processes by preparing/updating process documents that enables standardization of UK priced funds daily NAV preparation/finalization processes with that of South African priced funds (where possible);
- Assist with bespoke processes required by Chelmsford as well as standardization of UK Fund Accounting (SA) daily processes to support automation of processing volumes across all UK priced funds and to drive consistency in automated processes applied with that of the South African priced funds;
- Perform NAV finalization process and Team Leader oversight as and when required to support Team Leader to ensure teams NAV SLAs are met;
- Management of project delivery as it relates to UK Fund Accounting (SA) responsibilities which includes assisting with fund migration take-on, preparation/review of parallel valuations, performing end-to-end testing, implementing new processes and engaging with clients were needed;
- Be liaison person with project teams in daily/weekly etc. meetings to ensure action items for UK Fund Accounting (SA) are addressed;
- Provide solutions for UK Fund Accounting (SA) corrective actions to be implemented across the teams;
- Participate and lead training applicable for the UK Fund Accounting (SA) team and UK Fund Accounting (Chelmsford), where required.
- Provide solutions for complex client requirements including client engagement, investigation and testing and report development;
- Assist with the UK priced funds NAV re-price process as and when required including the calculation of the BPS impact analysis
- Assist Service Head to drive the implementation of efficiencies in the UK Fund Accounting (SA) team by improving the technical skills of people, improving the controls of processes, and increasing the automation of operations with technology.
