**Role purpose**:
The National Catering and Employee Experience Manager operates and drives both the catering and soft facilities management services and related performance across all South African commercial properties. The portfolio is responsible for developing, facilitating, and delivering plans, initiatives, and activities, through coordinated efforts that yield excellent performance and service delivery to all staff and customers/visitors across SA. This role will also be responsible for the compilation of setting strategic outlooks within the portfolio in line with Vodacom’s hybrid working framework to ensure that all related service deliveries are performed to provide an excellent onsite employee experience for all staff. Key to success in this portfolio is innovative, progression and service excellence.

The role focusses upon the facilitation and co-ordination of the various contracts and teams across the country who delivers services relating to food and beverage for staff restaurants, pop up facilities, hosting and events management, external high street food outlets, cleaning and hygiene standards and services, as well as general grounds management of all properties nationally that have staff and contractors operating within that environment.

All operations and services must ensure sound business case rationale, negotiations, and review of agreements from an SLA perspective is maintained.

Further to this the role will be responsible for ensuring effective cost management and continent whilst ensuring strong operational performance, database management of all related contracts and deploy technologies to help monitor and manage where applicable.

All financial DOA requirements as per Vodacom and Vodafone must be fulfilled.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
**Tactical Catering and Hosting Management**

Influences strategic decisions related to suppliers, services, and EVP across portfolio against business needs.
Analyse investments and long-term optimisation plans to support the achievement of the overall team strategy.
Effective engagement with colleagues across to ensure the effective delivery of plan activities
Ensures implementation of all Health and Safety standards required (both global and local) as per relevance (i.e., ISO standards, food and beverage standards, hygiene, etc)
Build and foster relations across operational areas, including Supply Chain, Legal and Finance with aim towards optimising costs and resources.
Use best practice knowledge to negotiate and maintain significant and critical service delivery across all applicable environments.
Builds strong relations and works closely with Supply Chain, Finance and Legal functions to ensure alignment of contracts
Demonstrates strong communication skills, influences third parties, and negotiates contractual requirements and costs with the support of Supply Chain
Has accountability for budget in area

**Operational management**
Manage, develop, and maintain service level agreements with all managed service providers and contractors.
Increased equipment lifespan and manage the risk of failure through the proactive maintenance and management of sites and equipment
Ensure Green Building Standards and Practices are implementation across portfolio aligned to Vodacom Planet initiatives.
Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures in compliance with group governance standards where applicable.
Manage all property related communication across company, aligned to functional changes or operations.
Finance and budgets:
Prepare and manage all related expenditure to budgets/spend and forecast

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:
Diploma in Hotel Management
Diploma in Facilities Management.
5 plus years commercial experience in building and facilities management desirable
Good commercial acumen.

Mainstream Food and Beverage experience
