Cancer incidence in Africa will double in the next 20 years causing immense suffering and premature adult deaths. REACCT-CAN is a multidisciplinary team of academic clinicians, epidemiologists, cancer registry specialists and molecular scientists from universities in Ethiopia, Egypt, Tanzania and South Africa, Germany and IARC in France. REACCT-CAN’s objectives are to tackle molecular and inflammatory aspects of aetiology, biomarkers of early detection and treatment response, prevention, late presentation, optimised treatment and high mortality rates.

The Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience, and the Strengthening Oncology Services Research Unit, both of the University of Witwatersrand are pleased to announce the availability of Post-doctoral fellowships to work on projects spanning the following areas of research:
**B]** A Fellowship is also offered for a PhD graduate with at least 2 years experience in breast, cervical or prostate cancer epidemiology, social sciences or cancer implementation science research to investigate cancer patient care and management throughout the cancer care continuum.

The REACCT-CAN Fellowships are for four years (full-time) and will include an annual stipend, a computer to facilitate research and funding to attend conferences.

**Eligibility Criteria and Attributes**
- PhD graduate within the last 5 years
- Data analysis and management experience is required and experience in conducting systematic reviews is advantageous for B]
- Must be an African national with a commitment to working in and advancing research in Africa
- Evidence of publications is an advantage
- Highly motivated and committed to biomedical research
- Available to start fellowship within 6 months
