**About the opportunity**

The Marketing Manager, FTI Consulting South Africa, is based in the Johannesburg/Cape Town office and is responsible for planning and delivering marketing programmes across FTI's practice areas of Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Economic Consulting, Forensic & Litigation Consulting, Strategic Communications and Technology.

The Marketing Manager works closely with segment leadership to convert commercial business goals into an objectives-focused series of marketing activities. Encompassing brand awareness, network development and opportunity generation objectives, marketing programmes will pursue topics relevant to audiences in the South/African market and align with corporate and segment campaign themes at a global and regional level.

This is a 'hands on' role that requires robust operational marketing expertise, experience of working in a complex matrix environment, and the ability to execute campaigns and initiatives across multiple marketing channels. The role is supported by local suppliers and the broader EMEA corporate marketing and communications team based in London (and other locations across the region) to create campaigns that engage target audiences with compelling and innovative content.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Practice Lead and other SMDs to develop and deliver marketing programmes that support segment commercial goals
- Drive digital-first campaign activities through FTI-owned social and web channels, leveraging paid and organic techniques to grow subscribers/followers, enhance brand awareness and generate leads
- Identify, support and manage networking, speaking, conference and event sponsorship opportunities aligned with country and segment business plans
- Lead the organisation and delivery of FTI-branded events to build client relationships and engage target audiences in live content discussions
- Support leadership with client targeting and relationship tracking to ensure marketing plans are directed effectively and business development commitments are fulfilled
- Maintain and update credentials packs and client reference materials for use in client development meetings
- Contribute to pitch and proposal material by creating a library of content regarding expertise, experience and methodology, tailoring content to the needs of each client situation
- Be in close touch with the operational activities of the practice and aware of the opportunities pursued and won
- Encourage collaboration between the firm's segments through cross-practice marketing initiatives and involvement in firm-wide industry groups
- Support internal and external communications (PR) programmes in collaboration with regional communications leadership, preparing and distributing content, and interfacing with external suppliers as necessary
- Encourage collaboration between FTI Consulting's practice areas through cross-practice marketing initiatives and involvement in firm-wide industry groups
- Work with the EMEA marketing team to implement internal processes - for example, developing CRM contact lists to improve account penetration, ensuring compliance with PR risk management processes, and ensuring branded materials comply with global standards
- Coordinate with CRM and Digital Marketing teams to implement CRM data governance, integration and reporting
- Manage client contact lists in CRM, including the integration of contact information across multiple platforms, e.g., corporate website, CRM, Eloqua
- Provide recruitment marketing support as needed
- Work with external and in-house designers to produce brochures, client communications and proposals
- Liaise with the EMEA marketing team in London for reporting, advice and support across all functional areas, including PR, events, brand & design, CRM and digital

**Education and Qualifications**
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- A postgraduate marketing qualification (preferred)
- 5 years B2B marketing experience, ideally within the professional services sector
- Experience of developing marketing plans
- Experience of delivering thought leadership-led multi-channel marketing programmes that engage audiences and deliver commercial outcomes
- Able to work effectively, confidently and with influence in a complex structure with multiple senior stakeholders
- Able to work proactively and independently to develop marketing initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communications, in German and English
- Experience of managing a marketing budget
- Experience of using CRM software and online mailing systems
- Able to work collaboratively as part of an international team
- Skilled in managing multiple projects and competing demands
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and PPT
- Excellent English language skills essential
