Plant Scheduler

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure that material holding is sufficient to meet the production plan as agreed per KPIs(SOH)
- Monitoring of daily production plan according to the resource and equipment availability.
- Minimise line changeovers without exceeding warehouse capacity.
- Allow manufacturing and warehouse to schedule personnel 24 hours in advance.
- Allow the manufacturing plant to minimise downtime and maximise fryer output.
- To optimize labour usage and improve the resource requirements by eliminating overtime.
- Optimize shift schedules and outputs by utilizing bag making tools and agreeing
- efficiency standards
- Improve bag maker scheduling and flavour optimization
- To provide the manufacturing site with a schedule that will achieve the service objectives
- with regards to customer expectations.
- Measurement of weekly production schedule attainment by checking actual case outputs
- and reporting into Sector tools
- Establish a master production schedule (MPS).
- Improve promotional activity by providing input into commercialization team and project
- meetings by providing input into NPD around bag size cost efficiencies
- Balance manufacturing efficiency with distribution efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain/Logistics
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in scheduling coupled with strong FMCG experience
Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement of products and processes and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail.
Ability to quickly analyse complex problems to find actionable pragmatic solutions
Understanding of Food Science and Manufacturing.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information e.g. interpreting consumer insights.
High degree of attention to detail, highly numerate and computer literate (excel expert).
Ability to create and use networks to actively seek and take advantage of ideas, best practice and solutions developed elsewhere
Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment where people feel respected and valued for their contributions, especially capable of working cross culturally
Supports people to build their skills and empowers others to act and think in ways that will get the job done
