Job Requirements

**Requirements**:

- PhD degree in the relevant discipline within the Faculty - Senior position within the Faculty with evidence of managerial experience of 3 years - 10 years of teaching experience with a solid teaching philosophy and credentials - Must understand the role of the PQM, HEMIS, IPQA and CHETL in teaching and learning activities. - Must know procedures on accreditation DHET, CHE and SAQA requirements and procedures. - Must show a good track record of teaching and learning, community engagement and research activities with a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed publications. - Having designed or participated in designing a programme would be an added advantage.

**Duties**:

- Work with the Faculty Manager to support Executive Dean at a strategic level in pursuing academic excellence. - Responsible for the control of all undergraduate programmes including admissions, audits, exams, and oversight of pass, success, and throughput rates etc. within the residency period. - Provide leadership in the Faculty by chairing all delegated committee meetings and submitting reports to Faculty Executive Board every quarter. - Be a role model for the Faculty members of staff in the pursuit of academic excellence. - Oversee the quality assurance of the undergraduate programmes and all committees related to teaching and learning. - Partake in the recruitment drive to attract prospective undergraduate students to the university to meet the first entering students’ enrolment targets of the Faculty. - Facilitate programme/curriculum development and reviews in the Faculty inclusive of curriculum transformation. - Liaise with external stakeholders such as professional bodies and communities of practice. - Liaise with external stakeholders and communities of practice. - Contribute to the Faculty operational plan and the UNIVEN Annual Performance Plan to realise the University’s strategic objectives.
