- The Senior Instrumentation Mechanician is responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the process division. The role requires a degree of competence in instrumentation used in highly automated plants. The role is further responsible to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximised

- Job Description
- Ensure high standards of work execution and instrumentation availability in allocated area of responsibility,
- Ensuring shutdown work is executed as planned in their area of responsibility.
- Assisting Instrumentation Artisans in order to deliver on technical requirements, maintenance and operation systems support.
- Ability to co-ordinate weekly/daily activities for ensuring alignment with other Engineering trades/sections.
- Maintaining and optimizing systems in order to maximize capacity to the production process.
- Identifying high risk and safety critical areas/work and ensure that all controls and measures in place are followed.
- Ensuring good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
- Support in ensuring that the departmental KPI’s are achieved (i.e. scheduled maintenance, artisan utilization, plant availability etc)
- Adhering to the Anglo Platinum Change Procedure and Anglo Platinum Standards.
- Qualifications
- NQF level 4 and above or equivalent
- Anglo Platinum recognised trade test - Instrumentation Mechanician Trade Test

**Skills**:

- Computer literacy
- English literate
- Good decision making skills
- Valid driving licence code 08

**Experience**:

- 5 years post trade experience working as an Instrumentation Mechanician
- Smelter or concentrator experience
- PLC experience
- Supervisory experience will be advantageous
- ASI, Profibus DP, SIEMENS PCS7 experience will be advantageous
