350.org on behalf of the StopEACOP coalition is looking for a brilliant & fierce **StopEACOP Coordinat**or**, to join a team of dedicated individuals working to stop a proposed oil pipeline in the African Great Lakes region.

**About the** StopEACOP Coordinator **Position**
We're looking for someone with demonstrated experience in developing, planning, implementing, and coordinating advocacy activities related to the stop EACOP campaign.
**Responsibilities**
- Leading on the implementation of campaign activities, along with others, including as a public spokesperson,
- Facilitating the development of a campaign strategy, and producing update memos on progress towards campaign goals,
- Organising regular online meetings of the main campaign group (50+ individuals) and the various streams of activity, including communications, community and movement building, finance advocacy, legal strategies and building alternatives,
- Maintaining a calendar of key dates for the campaign, capturing activities of the different streams,
- Closely following project developments and sharing relevant news and updates with the campaign group,
- Ensuring strong links between the international civil society groups and the network of organisations in the affected countries,
- Reporting regularly to the campaign steering committee via online calls.
- Raising the profile of the campaign and looking for campaign opportunities with partners and allies at partner meetings, conferences and events, and through supporting the work of partners.
**Competencies**
- Ability to clearly articulate and operationalize campaign strategies and plans.
- Ability to compile a campaign baseline, monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of online & offline campaign activities.
- Strong coordination skills, online storytelling skills, including creating content that appeals to multiple target audiences.
- Team player, problem solver, bridge/relationship builder;
- Passionate about supporting local civil society organisations;
- Good understanding of corporate strategies and the oil sector;
- Ability to work with strategic rather than day-to-day supervision;
- Think strategically about all aspects of the campaign (communications, development of material, activities and events).
- Organised, detail oriented and accurate. Able to create work plans and anticipate deadlines.
**Required Qualifications**
- At least two-three years of experience in digital advocacy, media or campaign work.
- Previous experience working on social justice/energy campaigns, ideally in Global South contexts
- Previous experience in climate change or environmental role.
- Understand African climate and energy policy and integrate this and other new developments into the campaign
**Desired **_(but not required)_** Qualifications**
- Good relationships with local partners, environmental and social justice movements, journalists, and media practitioners, or ability to create these relationships.
- Fluency in English and French; Be comfortable speaking and communicating in public and with a variety of partners
- Ideally experienced in working with the NGO sector
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely, both independently & on teams, and who is highly responsive, able to lead initiatives while also taking direction from others.

**Position Type**:_ _Part time - 20hrs per week for a period of one year
