**Overview**:
A Plant Scientist is required in the research and development group to contribute towards understanding the relationship between plant processes occuring on cellular level and phenotypical plant responses like growth, plant health and yield. A basic understanding of chemistry research, microbiology, statistical analysis and scientific methodology will be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Graduate Degree In Plant Science
- MSc or PhD will be an added advantage

**Experience**:
**Duties**:

- As a member of a multi-disciplinary team you will be required to optimize, develop and implement technologies to study relationships between gene functions and measurable characteristics like those used in the high throughput phenotype screening experiments.
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and management of experiments, interpretation of data, and communication and documentation of results.
- Responsible for the constant improvement of methods, technologies and knowledge generation for your own area of responsibility.
- Support manager and team members by developing, planning and supervising external collaborations and supporting negotiations with third parties.
- Collaborate with R&D team members, production and commercial teams regarding product formulation, process parameters, scale-up, and trial support.
- Designs & conducts growth chamber experiments/trials utilizing new and established methods. Projects may involve basic research and/or product development.
- Compilation of research results in a scientific report format.
