Stellenbosch, South Africa Versus Socks Full time

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Assistant in our Versus Socks Flagship store in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment. Your enthusiasm for our products, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team will contribute to our continued success. We are looking for somebody that is sporty, active and lives a healthy lifestyle. There will be two shifts per day, 6am-12:30pm and 11:30am-6pm and you will be expected to work 6 days per week. You will need to stay in or close to Stellenbosch for this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide friendly and professional assistance throughout their shopping experience. Offer product information, answer questions, and make recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales and Promotion: Actively engage with customers to promote products, highlight current promotions, and upsell additional items to maximize sales. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our product range and stay up-to-date on new arrivals and trends.
- Point Of Sale Operation: Operate POS accurately and efficiently, process payments, and handle transactions with attention to detail.
- Stock Management: Assist with receiving and unpacking merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory control. Restock shelves, arrange products in an appealing manner, and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including regular tidying, dusting, and cleaning of product displays and store fixtures. Ensure that all safety and security measures are followed to provide a safe shopping environment for customers.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and actively contribute to a positive and supportive team environment. Assist with training new team members, share product knowledge, and work together to achieve sales targets and goals.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously educate yourself about our products, including features, benefits, and pricing, to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers. Attend product knowledge sessions and stay informed about industry trends.

**Qualifications**:

- Keen interest in sport
- Active, healthy lifestyle
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers.
- Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Living in or close to Stellenbosch is preferred.

**Work Environment**

Versus Socks Flagship Store, Dorp Street, Stellenbosch

6 days per week. 6am - 6pm (There will be two shifts per day)
