Junior Fibre Technician

**Requirements**:

- Matric Certificate or equivalent
- Tertiary level IT or Telecommunications qualification is preferred
- 3 years of experience performing fibre installations
- A CFOT certificate is advantageous
- Valid code 8 or 10 drivers license
- Be CFOT Certified
- Have the ability to read As-Build Layouts & Fibre Plans
- Have experience with Home and Business Drops
- Have maintenance Experience
- Have the ability to use all installation and maintenance equipment
- Be experienced working on FNO Networks - Aerial & Underground

**Job Duties**:

- Resolve, repair and install fibre optic network infrastructure according to the site plan
- Underground Ducting & Aerial fibre optic cabling installations
- Troubleshoot & Test of Fibre Levels
- Liaise with Client Representative, Customers in person, on the phone
- Daily Report & Maintain detailed records of each job
- Working in clients’ homes or businesses
- Working outdoors in all types weather
- Monitor and maintain material stock for installation team vehicles.
- Responsible for the electrical and hard tool inventory to be used for site installations
- And any other reasonable task

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
