Exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Retail Store Floor Supervisor with one of SA’s leading Food Retail Stores

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric
- Relevant Qualification / Diploma in Retail Management or similar
- Minimum of 5 years’ Food Retail Store Supervisor
- Intermediate computer literacy - proficient in MS Excel, Word and Internet savvy
- Results oriented and shows a strong sense of urgency
- Strong leadership critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of staff - Strong Discipline
- Demonstrate a strong level of verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Passion for delivering consistent customer shopping experience
- Ability to influence the store team and lead change effectively
- Business acumen and numerical ability
- Organised and attention to detail
- Ability to manage processes and procedures to ensure store operational standards are being met.
- Ability to maximize profit and deliver excellent customer service.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Manage operational standards and ensure that controls are adhered to for in-store shrinkage, waste and stock accuracy.

**Merchandising Management**
- Ensures that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained
- Monitors implementation of In store signage discipline

**Customer Service Management**
- Listens, confirms and responds to customer request for products and services
- Ensures the effective implementation of customer service standards

**Finance & Administration**
- Ensures compliance to operational legislation
- Ensures adherence to finance and administration policies and procedures
- Develops staff roster to meet business needs

**People Management & Development**
- Ensures effective management of employees
- Monitors the performance of subordinates against agreed objectives and standards
- Conducts on-the-job training for departmental staff in-store
- Review’s staffing requirements

**Operations & Maintenance Management**
- Ensures that all equipment is maintained in effective working order
- Ensures general maintenance standards are met

**Shrinkage & Security**
- Ensures all security systems are fully operational
- Manages the implementation of shrinkage control measures
- Implements shrinkage plan
- Opens and closes store according to schedule
- Adheres to end of day procedures and pre closing checks

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
