Responsibilities for seamstress
- Must keep the sewing area and machines properly maintained.
- Must be flexible to all other projects assigned by management.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for 7 hours of an 8 hour shift.
- Previous experience using a sewing machine, over lock machine, blind stitch machine, team iron, scissors and seam rippers.
- Must meet or exceed productivity and quality standards outlined by the company.
- Inspect product for damages or defects.
- Sews, either by machine or hand, the costumes or performance apparel assigned by the Costumer/Shop Supervisor.
- Maintains personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively.
- Communicates with other team members concerning problems and their possible solutions,

Qualifications for seamstress
- Excellent sewing skills.
- Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to complete projects within the allotted timeline.
- Ability to follow specific instructions based on needs of an item.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
- Position engages in walking and standing throughout work shift and climbing/ascending heights (occasionally).
- 5 years of sewing/alterations experience.
- Friendly personality and attitude.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of fabric, notions, sewing machine parts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results - oriented and ever - changing environment.

**Salary**: From R4,500.00 per month

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
