Sewing Machinists

**Purpose**:To produce sewn, finished garments by operating industrial machines and following patterns and instructions.

**Critical Results**:

- Able to meet production targets and maintain high quality standards is Essential
- Accurately producing finished garments by following a pattern or instruction
- Maintain an inventory of materials, tools and supplies.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Relevant years of experience within clothing manufacturing industry is Essential
- Grade 10-12 preferred, however experience and skill is Essential
- Knowledge and experience of outerwear construction is Essential
- Ability to learn quickly, although experience as a machinist is Essential
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, meeting production efficiency targets
- Good employment and attendance record
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good interpersonal skills
