**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in placing their orders.
- Accurately process food and beverage orders, ensuring all items are recorded correctly.
- Calculate bills accurately, including taxes and any discounts or promotions.
- Accept various forms of payment, such as cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, and provide accurate change when necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about the menu and restaurant offerings.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including ensuring an adequate supply of change, receipt paper, and other necessary items.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures to safeguard against theft or errors.
- Assist in reconciling cash at the end of each shift and prepare reports for management.
- Uphold the restaurant's policies, hygiene standards, and customer service guidelines.
- Upsell additional menu items or promotions to enhance the guest's dining experience.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in customer service roles.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

**Salary**: R4,000.00 - R5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
