Export Controller

Our client in the Logistics industry is looking for an Export Controller to join their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain a good working relationship with customers
- Receive and process Goods receipt notes (GRN’s) on WMS
- Receive and process export orders and packing lists on WMS
- Co-ordinate collection of empty containers for packing
- Arrange with SALL team to have containers weighed for VGM certificate
- Ensure that containers are stacked in the Port on time for export sailing
- Ensure accurate loading of containers and recording of batch and product details
- Tracking order orders / client updates
- Work closely with JHB export controllers to monitor the following:

- Supervise the container packing operations
- Liaise with Labour service provider for casual labour for container packing
- Ensure that sufficient packing material and resources are available for export packing
- Conduct container inspections prior to container packing
- Ensure that photographs are taken of all layers of container as cargo is packed
- Send all pictures and relevant documents to clients
- Investigate all customer related queries and respond/resolve timeously
- Work hand in hand with other departments to ensure client queries are resolved within a timely manor
- Participate in stock counts / Customer meetings
- Understanding customer order volumes / delivery KPI (OTIF)
- Customer score cards must be maintained
- Assist with warehouse and admin related tasks, as and when required

- Must be able to work independently and carry out day to day tasks un-supervised
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and solve
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (Streamline knowledge is advantageous)
- Microsoft (outlook, excel)
- High level of communication skills
- High level of Customer service skills
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail
- Understanding of inventory control procedures
- Must be able to work under pressure

Qualifications:

- Matric
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Sound knowledge of all warehouse operations
- Knowledge of container export packing process
- Minimum 2-5 Years Warehousing Experience
- Must be able to work overtime when the operation requires this

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Congella, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's (preferred)
