Hello future Risk Analyst

We see institutions as but not limited to, pension funds, long and short-term insurers, re-insurers, as well as medical aid schemes.

Are you someone who can:
- Execute on the op risk strategy through tactical actions.- Track and report on progress towards achieving the ops risk strategy at defined intervals (i.e. 6 months).- Proactively identify and anticipate risks (including emerging risks);- Identify risks associated with critical handovers interdependencies between business areas.- Work with relevant IT, legal, regulatory, business resilience, fraud, information, physical security risk specialists to ensure comprehensive identification of all key operational risks.- Assist business to identify risks inherent key business processes, new products, business projects and key outsourced and insourced arrangements and critical third - party service providers.- Assist with risk assessment process.- Assist risk assurance with Implementation of annual operational controls coverage plan - with focus on monitoring key controls based on key risks, identified operational risk themes, management needs and agreed combined assurance areas of focus.- Assist risk assurance with the validation of closed audit findings with a focus on high-risk audit findings.- Feedback results of monitoring activities to enhance operational risk control environment.- Keep Archer updated with all engagement outcomes and documents.- Implement and adapt FirstRand operational risk frameworks and policies for the business in a practical and effective way.- Advise on risk mitigation solutions.- Proactively engage with management on key risks matters.- Have completed an appropriate undergraduate degree (e.g. B.Com / Law) or Postgraduate qualification or Certification.- Have at least 3 years Legal, Risk or Compliance experience withing Financial Services- Have Knowledge of Governance Tools and Processes- Have an Understanding of Operational Risk Management
