**Job Description**:

- As a Fitter, you will be changing tasks and machine settings to minimize the effect of unexpected problems. Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:

- Attending, conducting safety meetings and participating in risk assessments
- Attending to breakdowns and emergencies
- Ability to do fault finding and read drawings
- Ensuring that material, spares and equipment are available as required
- Exercise judgement with regards to replacement of components
- Complying with environmental requirements
- Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications of possible conflict

**This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Foreman Fitter.**
- Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science or Technical Trade Specific N2
- Recognised Fitter or Millwright Trade Test Certificate

**Experience**:

- Completed a 2-3 year learnership programme within the mining / construction environment

- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be able to work standby duties, work shifts and overtime if required
- Valid South African Driver’s License and own transport
- Basic Computer literacy Skills
- Must have or be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
