**About Us**

Blue Door ECE is a preschool programme which aims to equip young children in South Africa for success in both school and life. In contrast to the daycare-oriented approach observed in the vast majority of existing educare centres throughout South Africa, the core function of Blue Door educators is to create opportunities for active learning experiences. They are supported in this function by our rigorous up-front training program, a teaching tablet loaded with daily ‘Lesson+Activity’ guides created by our centralised curriculum team, and ongoing professional development from roaming instructional coaches.

**About the Position**

We are looking for a patient, kind and enthusiastic person who loves children to join our team as a full-time Teacher in our Yellow Group (turning 3), at one of our preschools in the Northern Suburbs

- General responsibilities: _
- Work as a part of a dynamic team, managing own classroom as well as some communal responsibilities within the team.
- Work closely with the principal to uphold the standards that Earlybird Educare Centres have set.
- Classroom responsibilities: _
- Planning and preparation in accordance to the company requirements.
- Observation and recording of developmental milestones.
- Keeping a POE of children’s work and progress.
- Preparing children in all facets of development for future school years.
- Self reflection of teaching practices and implementing necessary changes and improvements.

**About You**
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in an ECD centre.
- Hold a minimum of a NQF Level 5 in ECD or studying towards a NQF Level 6 in ECD.
- Possess strong people-management and team-work skills.
- Able to see the big picture, adapting to each situation as it arises.
- Service oriented.
- Good at planning and organising.
- Empathetic and sociable.
- Highly diplomatic.
- Skilled in identifying problems and brainstorming potential solutions, as well as effectively implementing solutions.
- Excellent at written and oral communication as well as presentation.
- Passionate about connecting with parents and children.
- Personable, reliable, organised, motivated by impactful work.
- A creative problem-solver who is undaunted by the inevitable challenges that will crop up as we work to break new ground in South Africa’s under-developed Early Childhood Development sector.
- Based in Northern Suburbs
- Parklands area or surrounds. Available to start **Mid-January 2023.**

**Salary**: From R10,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Parklands, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- leadership in education: 3 years (required)
