Job Title: Hardware Store Sales Floor Associate

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Engagement:

- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Listen to customer inquiries and assist them in locating the products they need, offering knowledgeable advice and recommendations.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the shopping experience, answering questions, offering solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

2. Product Knowledge and Assistance:

- Utilize your hardware experience to assist customers with their hardware requirements, including tools, building materials, and DIY projects.
- Learn about new products and industry trends to better serve customers and provide accurate information.
- Offer guidance on product selection, usage, and maintenance to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

3. Retail Operations:

- Assist with merchandising activities, including stocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining product visibility and organization.
- Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of merchandise, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the management team to ensure product availability.

4. Physical Demands:

- Load heavy items such as cement, sand, stone, and bricks onto delivery vehicles and customer vehicles, following proper lifting and safety protocols.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including the sales floor and loading area, to enhance safety and efficiency.

5. Continuous Learning and Improvement:

- Embrace opportunities for training and development to expand your hardware knowledge and improve customer service skills.
- Seek feedback from customers and colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to new tasks and challenges as they arise.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in hardware retail or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of hardware products, tools, and building materials.
- Retail experience in merchandising, stocking, and pricing is advantageous.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects 50kg repeatedly.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
