Decking Foreman

Master Decks a well-established **TIMBER** decking firm is looking for an experienced Foreman to join their team.

The foreman will report to the Installations Manager and be responsible for leading a crew tasked with the installation of decks, pergolas, balustrades, screens etc

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete projects on time and to an exceptional quality of workmanship.
- Review job card and drawings to ensure project requirements are clear.
- Allocate and delegate responsibilities.
- Manage and monitor team’s work and progress.
- Report substandard work immediately.
- Adhere to relevant safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks.
- Ensure tools are maintained and in good working order.
- Report faulty tools and hand in for repairs.
- Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues.
- Supervise, train, and give feedback to team members.
- Prepare and present progress to management.
- Check that correct materials are loaded.
- Check that correct hardware is issued.
- Conduct any lawful instruction given by management.
- Oversee care to assigned vehicle and report any faults/incidents immediately.
- Ensure that site is clean at the end of each day.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a foreman capacity. 3 Years.
- Experience in deck construction. 5 Years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand building plans.
- Experience working at heights.
- Good time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
- Good physical condition.
- Any relevant certification will be considered an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From R16,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottery, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
